Finding Homes for 30+ Flats!

A Day in The Hub!

On Tuesday 17th March we re-homed 35+ set flats and a prop grandfather clock! The flats are being reused as part of a set design for a low-budget independent episodic musical film series being produced locally in Huddersfield and will be released later this year!

Many of these flats were close to being skipped, so it’s great to see them being used again for creative purposes rather than going to waste. Supporting projects like this is exactly what the Hub is about, helping materials stay in use and connecting them with the creative community that can give them a new life!

And the grandfather clock? It has a particularly exciting role ahead, it will be used as a portable gateway to another dimension as part of the creative production!

We were also joined today by Narelle Mount, who first came to the hub last year as a volunteer, contributing 35 hours as part of a University Module. During that time Narelle helped support the day-to-day running of the Hub, and she’s now back once a month as freelance support, which is incredibly valuable!

If you’re working on a creative project and looking for materials, props, or set pieces, get in touch & visit the Hub at contact@resourcehub.co.uk

And if your organisation has materials heading for the skip, consider donating them so they can be used again by the creative and cultural community!
